Clearing a hoarded home is emotional for everyone involved. Whether it is your own home, a parent's house, or an estate, a respectful cleanup company can sort, remove, and clean while you decide what to keep.
Signs you may need professional help
- Paths through rooms are blocked or exits are hard to reach
- Odors, pests, or spoiled food
- Water leaks or damage hidden under belongings
- Mold or animal waste
How it usually works
- An initial walkthrough, in person or by photos.
- A written plan and estimate, including what will be kept, donated, or discarded.
- Sorting and removal, often room by room.
- Cleaning and, if needed, odor treatment or repair of hidden damage.
Supporting someone you love
Hoarding disorder is a recognized mental health condition. The International OCD Foundation has resources on hoarding for families. Involve the person in decisions where you can.
Hidden water damage
Leaks can go unnoticed for years under piles of belongings. If you find damp floors or walls, see water damage and mold.
How our referral works
We are a referral service, not a contractor, and we do not perform any cleanup or restoration work. We connect you with an independent contractor who serves your part of Pima County. You decide whether to hire them, and any agreement is directly between you and that contractor. Verify licenses at roc.az.gov.
Common questions
Can the company keep things private?
Ask them about discretion, unmarked vehicles, and how they handle personal papers.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the home and how much is inside. Ask for a timeline in the estimate.
